Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation Celebrates 37th Anniversary of Garak Market Opening with Distribution Industry Leaders and Veterans; Honors Veterans with Plaques, Screens Garak Market History Video, and Hosts Sand Art Performance to Share Past and Future Vision
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Moon Young-pyo) held a celebration event on June 17 at the 2nd floor Convention Center of Garak Mall Office Building to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the opening of Garak Market (opening day June 19) together with Garak Market distributors.
About 140 people attended the event, including representatives of Garak Market distributors, senior distributors, and corporation employees.
In particular, this year’s anniversary event invited 45 senior distributors aged 80 or older who are still active in the field. President Moon Young-pyo, representing the distributors, presented plaques of appreciation to each senior distributor with respect, expressing gratitude for their dedication and efforts.
Additionally, attendees watched a video on the history of Garak Market and a sand art performance, sharing major issues and achievements from the Yongsan Market before Garak Market’s opening to the present. This celebrated the 37 years of jointly developing Garak Market and provided an opportunity to strengthen unity for a better future of Garak Market.
