About 70 members of the Yeongdeok-gun Regional Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group produced over 3,000 sandbags as a preemptive natural disaster preparedness activity to respond quickly to various disasters such as heavy rain and typhoons during the summer and to minimize residents' safety risks and house flooding damage.
Seong Bok-su, head of the Yeongdeok-gun Regional Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group, said, "We serve with a sense of duty so that the residents can live more safely," and added, "We will do our best in summer disaster prevention activities to help protect the residents' property and well-being."
