Incheon City Fosters Small but Strong Small Manufacturers... Up to 11 Million KRW Support per Company
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon City is taking steps to strengthen the competitiveness of outstanding small manufacturers with growth potential.
The city announced on the 20th that it will recruit applicants for the Small but Strong Small Manufacturer Development Project until the 8th of next month. The plan is to nurture leading small manufacturing companies to strengthen the industrial ecosystem and revitalize the local economy.
To this end, support will be provided for ▲process efficiency (product and manufacturing process improvement) ▲technological innovation (certification costs) ▲and expenses needed for promotion and marketing.
The process efficiency project supports costs related to process efficiency and production quality improvement, such as repair and smartization of outdated equipment, process automation, food safety, product and process establishment costs, material costs, and design development service fees.
The technological innovation project covers costs for acquiring various domestic and international certifications, testing fees, patent application fees, and other expenses for technological innovation. The promotion and marketing project supports costs necessary for online and offline promotion, such as catalog and pamphlet production, banner advertisements, and exhibition booth participation fees.

The city plans to invest a total of about 220 million KRW to support around 20 companies, with up to 11 million KRW available per company. Eligible applicants are small manufacturers with business locations in Incheon who primarily engage in manufacturing.
