Yang said, "It is true that the People Power Party asked me to take on the role of chairperson of the Semiconductor Special Committee," adding, "In response to this request, I replied that I would consider accepting the chairperson position if the special committee is established not only at the People Power Party level but as a National Assembly-level special committee involving the government, industry, and academia together."
