Gwangju Nambu Fire Station Conducts Fire Safety Education for School Staff
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Nambu Fire Station announced on the 16th that it recently conducted fire safety training for about 80 faculty and staff members of Sungui Science and Technology High School.
The training was organized to raise safety awareness among faculty and staff and to improve their initial response capabilities in emergency situations such as fires. It included both theoretical education and practical exercises on ▲recent fire case dissemination ▲cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage ▲fire extinguisher usage ▲evacuation procedures during fires ▲119 emergency call procedures.

A faculty member who participated in the training said, “Through this fire safety training, I have accurately learned how to perform CPR and use fire extinguishers, enabling me to respond quickly in emergencies,” and added, “I will also conduct safety education for students to ensure a safe and healthy school life.”
