The Korea Tourism Organization and the Korea Entertainment Producers Association announced on the 16th that they will jointly host the 28th Dream Concert at the main stadium of Jamsil Sports Complex in Seoul on the 18th.
The theme of this concert is "Korea Travel, Starting Again." The Dream Concert, which began in 1995, is a representative domestic K-pop concert featuring top-tier artists from both Korea and abroad. This year, 25 teams including NCT Dream and IVE will perform.
The performance will be broadcast live online worldwide through K-POPCLICK. On-site sketches and special idol interview videos can also be viewed on the Korea Tourism Organization's YouTube channel.
The organization will deliver messages inviting global tourism to Korea while announcing the resumption of Korean tourism through red carpet interviews with participating artists. Various on-site events allowing attendees to experience K-pop content will also be held.
At the auxiliary stadium of Jamsil Sports Complex, an event under the slogan "Falling into K-pop in Korea" will take place. It will feature karaoke experience booths, pump dance games, photo zones using album jacket shooting locations as backgrounds, and a "Random Play K-pop Dance Contest."
Additionally, the organization has promoted K-pop tourism products targeting overseas Hallyu fans and foreigners residing in Korea in collaboration with the inbound travel industry to support the early recovery of the inbound market using Hallyu content.
Through this product, 900 people from 23 countries, including those where tourist visas have resumed such as Singapore and Malaysia, will enter Korea. The organization also explained that about 1,600 foreign residents in Korea have been recruited.
Furthermore, the organization's Hong Kong branch is hosting a consumer event inviting 500 local Hallyu fans to watch the concert at a downtown cinema.
