Gwangju Main Customs Office Holds Meeting with Semiconductor Bonded Factory
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] On the 15th, Gwangju Main Customs Office held a meeting with executives from three bonded factories in the jurisdiction to promote semiconductor exports.
At the meeting, the Customs Director expressed gratitude for the efforts and achievements of companies contributing to regional economic development despite the ongoing domestic and international challenges such as the Ukraine crisis, rising raw material prices, and supply chain instability, although the recent COVID-19 situation is improving.
He emphasized that to enable companies to respond flexibly to the increase in semiconductor export volumes, the expansion of bonded factories and the allowance of off-site work due to lack of workspace will be permitted to support corporate activities to the fullest extent.
In particular, he requested that companies actively voice their opinions whenever there are unreasonable regulations or areas requiring support.
