Boryeong Publishes First Sustainability Management Report... Includes ESG Management Achievements
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Boryung (formerly Boryung Pharmaceutical) announced on the 15th that it has published its first Sustainability Management Report, which contains the achievements and vision of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
This report includes the social value created and related achievements in terms of ESG from last year. To share and communicate Boryung's sustainability with overseas stakeholders, both Korean and English versions were published together.
Boryung has so far set the ESG management vision and eight strategic tasks under the theme of "BRing Sustainable Value for Humanity" and has made company-wide efforts for ESG management, including establishing a dedicated organization.
In particular, last year, it obtained environmental management system certification (ISO14001) for all business sites and has been working to reduce gas and electricity consumption as well as air pollution emissions.

Jang Doo-hyun, CEO of Boryung, said, "This sustainability report is the result of actively responding to stakeholders' demands while reflecting sincere efforts for ESG management," adding, "We will make this year the 'first year of ESG management' and continue various investments and efforts to enhance the sustainability of both the company and society."
