CGV Launches Full-Scale NFT Marketing Business
Comprehensive Business Agreement Between MetaKongs and 포괄적 업무 협약
CGV announced on the 13th that it signed a comprehensive business agreement with MetaKongz on the 10th. MetaKongz is a company leading the profile picture (PFP) NFT market using blockchain technology. Going forward, CGV and MetaKongz will jointly plan marketing events related to NFTs. They plan to expand the scope of collaboration through metaverse and blockchain-based services. Lee Kang-min, CEO of MetaKongz, said, "NFTs are an irresistible trend of the times," adding, "We want to create an opportunity to approach the public in a familiar way by utilizing offline spaces such as movie theaters." Shim Jun-beom, Head of CGV's Domestic Business Division, said, "Since last year, we have been developing NFT products to offer audiences a special experience," and added, "We will explore various ways to create more enjoyable and valuable experiences." CGV has been releasing NFT play posters starting with the movie 'Kingmaker' in December last year.
