Seoul City "Pay the 2022 First Term Vehicle Tax by June 30"
Registered 1.78 Million Vehicles Targeted, Automobile Tax Bills Sent Out Simultaneously
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul City announced on the 13th that it has simultaneously sent the first installment automobile tax bills for this year to 1.78 million vehicles out of 3.18 million registered cars.
The automobile tax bills will be delivered to taxpayers' addresses starting from the 14th, and for those who applied for electronic notification, the bills will be sent from the 13th via email, app notification, or other methods requested by the taxpayers. This first installment automobile tax was imposed on 1.78 million vehicles, which is 20,000 fewer than the same period last year due to an increase in lump-sum payment applications for the annual amount in January, totaling 200.6 billion KRW.
Seoul City provides various convenient payment policies so that taxpayers can pay easily within the payment deadline. Since paper bills are sent only once, taxpayers may forget and miss the payment deadline, but if they apply for electronic notification, they can receive another electronic notice when the payment deadline approaches, which is useful for taxpayers. Also, if you apply for electronic notification along with AlimTalk, you can receive a separate text alert in addition to the electronic notice.
