Police Arrest 60-Year-Old Man Who Threatened and Wielded a Weapon at Elementary School Students
Threatening Elementary School Students with "I Will Kill Everyone"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 60s who threatened elementary school students with a weapon in Seoul was apprehended by the police.
On the 10th, the Guro Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating a man in his 60s, Mr. A, on charges of special intimidation.
It was confirmed that on the 6th at around 4:30 PM, Mr. A threatened nearby elementary school students in a neighborhood in Guro-gu, Seoul, wielding a hand axe and a kitchen knife, saying "I will kill you all."
The police who arrived at the scene took safety measures such as putting the children into a patrol car and escorted Mr. A to the police station for questioning. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
According to the police investigation, Mr. A reportedly stated that he does not remember committing the crime due to being intoxicated. After analyzing CCTV footage, the police clearly identified Mr. A's criminal act.
