This was to support promising local companies in advancing into new businesses by converging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, virtual reality, and the Internet of Things with their own products and technologies.
This seminar was promoted as part of the Gwangju Job Creation Innovation Project 'Support Package for Future Core Technology Convergence of Promising Companies,' supported by Gwangju Metropolitan City and the Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office. About 20 executives and employees from promising local companies such as Daesin Information and Communication, Mudeung Enterprise Pyeongdong, and Korea Precision participated.
On the 9th, participants toured the 11th Smart Tech Korea Exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, where they directly experienced and observed the latest technology products and services leading digital innovation, including smart technology, digital distribution, robotech, and the metaverse. They also visited Kakao Bank in Yeouido for a special lecture on smart technology commercialization cases and a meeting with businesspeople.
On the second day, at Namseoul University and its vicinity, a visit to the 4th Industrial Revolution Promotion Center was held along with specialized lectures and mentoring on new technology convergence in five major fields (AI, IoT, automation systems, big data, AR/VR), providing an opportunity to acquire core technologies.
A company representative who participated in the seminar stated, “Although the paradigm of new industries is rapidly changing, there was a lack of awareness about the digital transformation, so we were uncertain about how to respond. However, through this new technology convergence mentoring seminar, we found a way to converge new technologies with our main products and advance into new businesses.”
