Incheon Mayor-elect Yoo Jeong-bok Completes Appointment of 20 Transition Committee Members... Launch on the 9th
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The personnel selection for the Incheon Mayor Transition Committee of the 8th term of the elected mayor has been completed, and the official launch is scheduled for the 9th.
Yoo Jung-bok, the elected mayor of Incheon, finalized the appointment of 20 committee members on the 8th.
Earlier, on the 3rd, the transition committee confirmed four key positions: Jeong Yoo-seop, former National Assembly member, as chairman; lawyer Ryu Kwon-hong, former general headquarters chief of the election campaign, as vice chairman; Min Hyun-joo, former National Assembly member, as spokesperson; and Park Byung-il, former secretary to the Incheon mayor, as secretary to the mayor-elect. On this day, the remaining 16 members were announced.
The transition committee members include Kim Seok-won (former Blue House Secretary for Public Communication), Kim Jin-yong (former head of Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority), Ryu Mina (People Power Party Incheon City Party spokesperson), Park Seung-ran (former president of the Incheon Teachers' Association), Baek Eung-seop (former Incheon City Communication Officer), Seo Woo-jin (People Power Party national committee member), Seo Jun-seok (former Democratic Party Policy Committee vice-chair), and Lee Sang-gu (CEO of ANF Public Design Institute).
Also appointed were Lee Yoon-sook (former Incheon Seo-gu council member), Lee Hak-gyu (former CEO of Incheon Broadcasting), Lee Han-gu (former Incheon City council member), Lee Haeng-sook (former chairperson of Incheon Seo-gu Facilities Management Corporation), Jeong Chang-il (former Incheon City council member), Jo Yong-gyun (former chief judge at Incheon District Court), Han Young-jin (former marketing strategy planning manager at Hyundai Motor Korea Headquarters), and Hwang Hyo-jin (former president of Incheon Urban Corporation).
The transition committee is composed of four divisions: Regional Balanced Development, Future Creation, Citizen Happiness, and Administrative Innovation, with the 20 members divided among these divisions.
Additionally, five special advisors will be appointed in the fields of political affairs, security, public relations, youth, and external cooperation, along with five task forces: Jemulpo Renaissance, New Hong Kong City, Transportation Infrastructure, Empathy Welfare, and Environment.
The transition committee will officially launch on the 9th on the 32nd floor of G Tower in Songdo.
A transition committee official stated, "In accordance with the mayor-elect's personnel principle of rewarding merit and assigning positions based on capability, the committee was formed mainly with practical experts possessing professionalism in each field."
