[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Muan County, Jeollanam-do, is promoting a health specialization project using 11 health clinics established in medically underserved areas from this month until September to improve the health of local residents.
The health specialization project selects distinctive health themes for each health clinic and operates an integrated health education program targeting local residents by inviting internal and external instructors.
The main program contents include ▲ prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases ▲ prevention of depression in the elderly ▲ health gymnastics ▲ cognitive enhancement education, among others.
In addition, the county plans to conduct basic tests and assessment evaluations before and after the program operation to identify high-risk groups and connect them to hospitals or health centers for continuous management.
