View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] A group of motorcycle gangs who raced through downtown Busan ignoring traffic signals and laws were caught by the police.
On the 7th, the Busanjin Police Station announced that they have arrested and are investigating 14 individuals, including A (20), on charges of reckless driving and joint dangerous acts.
A and others are accused of reckless driving while riding motorcycles through downtown Busan for about three hours in the early morning of May 9, passing through Songjeong-dong in Haeundae-gu, Seomyeon Intersection in Busanjin-gu, and Deokcheon-dong in Buk-gu.
According to the police, the group raced together inside the Gwang-an Tunnel, and when one of their members fell, they collectively drove in the opposite direction inside the tunnel, obstructing the flow of traffic. At Seomyeon Intersection, they reportedly ignored traffic signals and performed stunt driving by circling around the center of the intersection.
