KCC Launches 2nd Call for Innovative SME Broadcast Advertising Support Program
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] The Korea Communications Commission announced on the 7th that it will conduct the second round of the 2022 broadcasting advertisement production cost support project targeting innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in collaboration with the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation (KOBACO).
Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on the 20th through the dedicated website for KOBACO's SME broadcasting advertisement support project.
The KCC plans to select a total of 17 companies in the second round, including 12 for TV advertisements and 5 for radio advertisements.
For TV advertisements, up to 45 million KRW, covering 50% of production costs, and for radio advertisements, up to 3 million KRW, covering 70% of production costs, will be supported for the selected companies. Customized consulting will also be provided to offer systematic support for overall marketing, including broadcasting advertisement production and transmission.
Through the first round held in February, 30 companies, including 19 for TV advertisements and 11 for radio advertisements, have already been producing broadcasting advertisements.

Since 2015, the KCC has been supporting innovative SMEs with excellent technology but facing difficulties due to low recognition and lack of marketing capabilities by providing broadcasting advertisement production cost support. Companies such as Kurly and Jakomo have received support for advertisement production costs.
