CJ Feed & Care Partners with GS Construction to Develop Korean-Style Salmon Feed
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] CJ CheilJedang's feed and livestock independent subsidiary CJ Feed & Care announced on the 7th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with GS Engineering & Construction to enhance the marketability and sustainability of salmon.
The signing ceremony took place at GS Engineering & Construction's headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, with Kim Seon-gang, CEO of CJ Feed & Care, and Heo Yoon-hong, head of GS Engineering & Construction's New Business Division, in attendance.
Going forward, the two companies will begin developing Korean-style salmon feed based on the salmon smart aquaculture facility located in Gijang-gun, Busan. CJ Feed & Care plans to develop feed suitable for land-based recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) salmon farming and aims to secure technological competitiveness for Korean-style salmon products. GS Engineering & Construction intends to combine its cutting-edge water treatment technology with CJ Feed & Care's feed research and development (R&D) capabilities to produce high-quality, eco-friendly farmed salmon with global competitiveness.
