Samsung Display Begins Mass Production of 240Hz OLED Panels for Laptops

Samsung Display announced on the 7th that it will begin mass production of the world's first laptop OLED supporting a 240Hz refresh rate. This product has been installed in MSI's recently unveiled 15.6-inch gaming laptop, the 'Raider GE67 HX.'
Samsung OLED is recognized by laptop users beyond smartphones for its excellent image quality characteristics such as ▲wide color gamut ▲high contrast ratio ▲true black ▲low blue light. Especially for gaming laptops, specifications that affect actual gameplay, such as response time and refresh rate, are more important than visual image quality factors, and the number of consumers preferring OLED products is steadily increasing.
The refresh rate indicates the number of times the screen can be displayed per second. The higher the refresh rate, the faster the screen transitions, allowing for a more natural image quality experience. High refresh rate displays are particularly popular among gamers who enjoy first-person shooter (FPS) games, where perceiving the screen as quickly as possible while providing a smooth image is crucial.
