Gyeonggi-do Fire Academy to Conduct 'Fire Response Capability Certification Exam' Starting from the 7th
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi-do Fire Service Academy will conduct a Fire Response Capability Certification Exam.
The Gyeonggi Fire Service Academy announced that it will hold the 'Fire Response Capability Certification Exam (Level 2)' for four days from the 7th to the 10th to strengthen expertise such as basic knowledge, skills, and equipment utilization required for fire suppression.
This certification exam is the second practical evaluation consisting of 10 items, including wearing self-contained breathing apparatus and emergency breathing methods, searching and rescuing victims, for those who passed the first written exam. A total of 81 candidates who passed the first written evaluation, including four female firefighters, will participate in this exam.
Lee Jae-soon, head of the Gyeonggi Fire Service Academy, stated, "We will do our best to expand practical-centered education and strengthen specialized education by field to increase the number of holders of fire response capability education and certification, which is a core competency in firefighting field activities."
The Gyeonggi Fire Service Academy has been designated as a training institution for firefighters since September 2011 and has been conducting education and certification exams. As of December last year, 122 people have been certified at Level 1 and 6,094 people at Level 2.
