Russian Foreign Ministry: "Sanctions Cause Oil Price Rise... Russia Suffers No Loss"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyunjung] Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mocked the related sanctions, saying on the 4th (local time) that oil prices have risen due to Western sanctions, significantly improving Russia's export performance.
According to major foreign media, Minister Lavrov said in an interview with Bosnian broadcasting on the same day, targeting the European Union (EU)'s sanctions against Russia, "Considering the oil price levels formed by Western policies, Russia has not suffered any losses."
On the 29th of last month, the 27 member countries of the European Union (EU) reached a principle agreement on the 6th round of sanctions against Russia, which includes reducing imports of Russian crude oil by 90% by the end of this year as a sanction for the invasion of Ukraine.

Regarding this, Minister Lavrov emphasized, "Generally, oil is not influenced by politics but depends on demand," and added, "There are alternative markets, and sales volumes are already increasing."
