Changwon City to Provide 3 Million Won Per Person to Jeonse Bus Drivers
Six Rounds of Temporary Support Payments Provided Since COVID-19
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, will provide a one-time support fund of 3 million KRW per person to transportation workers of 32 chartered bus companies.
The support fund is given to transportation workers belonging to chartered bus corporations whose sales have decreased due to reduced passenger demand caused by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The target is transportation workers who joined before April 4 of this year and are still working as of June 3. If the corporation’s sales decrease cannot be verified, the driver’s personal income reduction proof can be submitted instead.
Applications can be submitted for two weeks from June 3 to June 17, and for the convenience of transportation workers, applications will be accepted through their affiliated chartered bus companies.
After confirming whether the chartered bus company’s sales have decreased, the support fund is scheduled to be paid around the end of June.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the city has provided support funds to chartered bus transportation workers six times, including 1 million KRW per person in February and 1.5 million KRW in April.
