World Cup Semifinal Hero 'Lee Eul-yong' to Serve as General Director of Yongin City Football Center
[Asia Economy (Yongin) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Eul-yong, a former national soccer player and a key figure in the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup semifinal achievement, has been appointed as the head coach of the Yongin City Soccer Center.
The Yongin City Soccer Center announced on the 3rd that Lee Eul-yong has been appointed to the currently vacant head coach position.
Head Coach Lee began his professional career in 1995 with the Railroad Administration soccer team and was a central figure in the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup semifinal success.
After the Korea-Japan World Cup, he moved to the European stage, playing a significant role in elevating the status of Korean soccer. Upon returning to the domestic league, he played for Seoul FC and Gangwon FC, among others.
