T'way Air Launches 'T-Pet' Season 3, Specialized Service for Pet-Friendly Travelers
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] T’way Air announced on the 3rd that it will launch the specialized service t’pet Season 3 for customers traveling with their pets starting from the 6th.
The allowable weight for pets carried in the cabin will be increased to 9kg (including the transport container). The airline continues to operate the first-ever pet-exclusive boarding pass issuance and a stamp coupon system that offers benefits based on the number of boardings.
In response to the increasing trend of traveling with pets, T’way Air recorded approximately 27,000 pet transport cases last year. This year, an average of about 2,800 pets per month are using the t’pet service.
During t’pet Season 1 and Season 2 held last year, pet cabin crew scarves and uniforms, wrench-shaped tug toys, and aviation safety vest harnesses were given as gifts.
This t’pet Season 3 is themed around flight crew responsible for safe operations. Passengers who collect 4 stamps will receive a flight crew necktie for pets, and those who collect 6 stamps will be given either a flight crew uniform for pets or one free pet transport.
The prizes will be available at T’way Air’s domestic airport counters starting from the 6th and will end when stock runs out at each branch. Even after the end, the benefit of one free pet transport for collecting 6 stamps will continue to be provided.
T’way Air will also hold an SNS event to celebrate t’pet Season 3. From the 6th to July 10th, customers who use the t’pet service and upload a verification photo on Instagram with the required hashtags will be entered into a draw to receive pet goods.
