Arasoft CEO Kang Jeong-hyun Donates 30 Million KRW to Gyeongsang National University Development Fund

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gyeongsang National University announced on the 31st that CEO Kang Jeong-hyun of Arasoft donated 30 million KRW to the Gyeongsang National University Development Fund.
The development fund donation ceremony was held on the afternoon of the 30th at the President's Reception Room on the Gajwa Campus, attended by President Kwon Soon-gi, university headquarters officials, Arasoft CEO Kang Jeong-hyun, Director Kim Bong-geun, and about 10 others.
After the event, the attendees toured Arasoft located in the Root Industry Complex in Jeongchon-myeon, Jinju City.
Arasoft signed a business agreement related to e-books with the Gyeongsang National University Publishing Department on March 25. Under this agreement, both institutions agreed to continue mutual cooperation in publishing books released by Gyeongsang National University as e-books in the future.
Arasoft will support training for the e-book authoring tool ‘Namo Author’ to enable the publishing department to directly publish e-books going forward.
CEO Kang Jeong-hyun of Arasoft said, “We will realize corporate value and lead the creation of good jobs through green IT technology and excellent content development technology,” adding, “We want to participate in publishing outstanding e-books as Gyeongsang National University becomes a national flagship university representing Gyeongnam and Korea.”
President Kwon Soon-gi emphasized, “I deeply appreciate CEO Kang Jeong-hyun, who earned his master's and doctoral degrees at Gyeongsang National University Graduate School, for his consideration toward university development,” and added, “We will work to further develop our cooperative relationship.”
Arasoft is a company that develops e-book authoring tools and viewer solutions based on the international e-book standard format ePUB2&3, promoted by the International Digital Publishing Forum (iDPF).
