Kyobo Bookstore and Willa Join Forces in Audio Content Business
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Kyobo Bookstore announced on the 31st that it will sell Willa audio content at Kyobo Bookstore. After a pre-release of about 300 types of Willa audiobooks, it plans to continuously add audiobook content. This content sale will be provided as a download service through individual purchases, and later, Kyobo Bookstore will revamp its service to offer streaming services as well.
Kyobo Bookstore plans to enter the full-scale audiobook service market by upgrading and enhancing its service platform, starting with this partnership with Willa audiobooks. It is expected that the popularization of audiobooks will accelerate through the partnership with the largest audiobook service platform in Korea.
Kyobo Bookstore officially opened its audiobook store in July 2020, offering about 9,000 popular and new books. Willa is focusing on releasing signature audiobooks featuring multi-voice actor casting and various sound effects.
