Sejong Center for the Performing Arts announced on the 31st that it will hold summer special lectures at the Sejong Arts Academy from July 11 to August 9 in celebration of the summer vacation season.
Experiential courses reflecting the interests of the MZ generation (born from the early 1980s to the early 2000s) have been prepared, including Ballet Fit and dance stretching, tea classes, and barrier-free courses learning sign language. There will also be liberal arts courses in the arts such as Urban Contemporary Art, Musical Exploration, Overseas Art Tour Guide, Everything about Ballet, Afternoon Concert, and Impressive Speech.
In particular, various liberal arts courses unique to the Sejong Arts Academy are also prepared, attracting attention. The classes include ▲‘Urban Contemporary Art’ by curator Kwon Yoonkyung, who explores meaningful works and artists up to the present, such as the birth and expansion of urban art ▲‘Musical Exploration’ by performance columnist Park Byungsung, learning through classic musical cases ▲‘Overseas Art Tour Guide,’ a guidebook for must-visit overseas art tours led by Kim Sungil, author of 'A Week at the Festival' ▲‘Everything about Ballet’ by performance columnist Jang Jiyoung, who provides an easy-to-understand overview of ballet history through photos, videos, and direct viewing of ballet costumes and props ▲‘Impressive Speech,’ a condensed session on the core, points, and know-how of speaking, one of the greatest competitive advantages in the 4th Industrial Revolution era, taught by former KBS announcer Kang Sunggon ▲‘Afternoon Concert,’ a hot midsummer live trio stage with pianist Kim Jooyoung and music friends, featuring works from Haydn and Beethoven to Piazzolla.
Additionally, an art experience program combining fairy tales and music called ‘Listen, Play, Learn’ is offered for children aged 4 to 6, along with a sex education course for 5th and 6th graders in elementary school.
Applications for the special lectures can be made from June 14 on the Sejong Center website and Sejong Culture Ticket. There is also a triple subscription ticket offering a 15% discount when registering for three adult courses.
