View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Dooyul] Dong-Eui Science University signed an industry-academic cooperation agreement with YJY Food on the 27th for ‘Industry-Academic Cooperation for Training Bakery Specialists.’
The agreement was established to nurture talent that will lead the development of the local food service industry.
The two institutions agreed to cooperate in jointly developing and operating education programs to enhance the field adaptability and practical skills of students in the early employment-type contract department, ‘Smart Food Cooking Department.’
The signing ceremony was attended by Dong-Eui Science University President Kim Young-do, Industry-Academic Cooperation Director Lee Hwa-seok, Hotel Food Service Cooking Department Head Han Jin-sook, YJY Food CEO Choi Yong-jin, and Deputy General Manager Lee Chan-hee.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲ joint talent development related to the early employment-type contract department ▲ technology development related to R&BD ▲ joint participation and support in educational projects ▲ cooperation in participation of franchise stores in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions ▲ joint operation and participation in industry-academic councils ▲ cooperation in various projects and events promoted by both institutions.
YJY Food launched the bakery cafe franchise ‘Aden Boulangerie’ in 2021 with the goal of ‘leading premium daily bakery and coffee culture.’
Currently, it operates over 30 franchise stores nationwide, including in Busan, Gyeongju, and Daegu.
CEO Choi Yong-jin said, “In line with our self-established ‘GREAT 2300 Project,’ we aim to operate a nationwide premium bakery cafe brand and cultivate competitive professionals together with Dong-Eui Science University.”
President Kim Young-do said, “Through this agreement, both institutions will continue active exchanges and do their best to discover and nurture local talent.”
Last year, Dong-Eui Science University was selected for the leading specialized college project for early employment-type contract departments to nurture customized talent in promising new industries in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
