“Ham Bakkabokka” ... Busan City Supports Small Business Brand Improvement
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City is recruiting local small business owners to participate in the ‘Small Business Brand and Knowledge Service Quality Improvement Project’ on the ‘Ham, Bakkabokka’ platform until June 30.
The ‘Ham, Bakkabokka’ platform is a transaction system that connects local small business owners with experts. The system supports small business owners with services such as design, tax accounting, and intellectual property rights.
When small business owners directly request through the platform, expert groups prepare portfolios, and small business owners can directly review the results and select experts, resulting in high satisfaction.
To enhance the brand value and self-sustainability of local small business owners, the city first established the platform in 2019 and has supported a total of 1,035 businesses with design and consulting services up to last year.
This year, a total of 400 companies will be supported, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis at the Busan Small Business Comprehensive Support Center until June 30.
The support fields include five areas and 11 items: ▲Visual Design (brand, packaging, homepage) ▲Editorial Design (catalog, brochure, business plan) ▲Industrial Design (product) ▲Video and Photography (photo and video shooting) ▲Knowledge Services (tax, accounting, intellectual property rights). Applicants can apply for the necessary items and receive support up to 1 million KRW.
This year, the project will be linked with the Busan Intellectual Property Center’s small business intellectual property (IP) capacity-building project to provide intellectual property education and support actual trademark applications.
Incentives will also be provided by selecting excellent cases of design quality improvement.
Kim Hyo-kyung, Busan City’s Public Livelihood and Labor Policy Officer, said, “We hope this will provide work opportunities for local experts and increase the added value of brand products for small business owners.”
Experts are recruited on an ongoing basis, and designers, freelancers, and companies located in the Busan area can register.
