[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 30th that it will collaborate with ZEPETO, a global metaverse platform operated by Naver Z, to establish Hyundai Motorstudio in the virtual space and provide content that allows users to experience various mobility lifestyles.
The metaverse platform 'ZEPETO' is a service where users can communicate with friends through avatars representing themselves and enjoy various activities such as play, shopping, and work in a virtual space. It is gaining popularity among many MZ (Millennial + Generation Z) generations because it allows users to freely engage in desired activities without restrictions.
Hyundai Motor Company implemented virtual spaces and content such as the urban air mobility (UAM) concept 'S-A1,' purpose-built mobility (PBV) concept 'S-Link,' and future mobility transfer hub 'S-Hub' centered around Hyundai Motorstudio in the popular world 'Downtown' within the platform.
Since last year, Hyundai Motor Company has been building the Hyundai Motorstudio virtual space within the 'Downtown' world in collaboration with ZEPETO. This time, they enhanced the overall customer experience by adding future mobility-related content and publicly releasing it.
The brand experience virtual space 'Hyundai Motorstudio,' modeled after the actual Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul's interior and exterior, allows users to watch the Ioniq campaign film in collaboration with BTS on the media wall, wear and purchase Hyundai's upcycling clothing collection 'Restyle.' The building's rooftop is designed to enable a test drive experience of the S-A1.
The future mobility S-A1, announced by Hyundai at last CES, can be test-driven not only at the Hyundai Motorstudio boarding area but also at the transfer hub S-Hub boarding area. Additionally, the S-Link, implemented with three concepts?party room, healthcare clinic, and food truck?also offers a boarding experience. The S-Hub, a transfer hub between mobilities, provides an opportunity to glimpse future mobility life through internal space experiences.
Moreover, each mobility experience space and Hyundai Motorstudio feature various items that allow for unique photo shoots, making the content familiar and appealing to the MZ generation.
To commemorate the release of the new content, users can participate in the 'I'm on it' challenge by taking photos with BTS content inside Hyundai Motorstudio using their avatars and uploading them to SNS channels. Additionally, an eco-friendly plogging game mission for a clean city will be held next month, where participants can receive avatar fashion items such as hats or crossbags as rewards.
A Hyundai Motor Company official stated, “Hyundai Motorstudio will expand not only as an offline hub but also as a brand space in the metaverse where users can experience the brand, new technologies, and various mobility lifestyles. We plan to continuously introduce new spaces and content in connection with metaverse platforms in the future.”

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Company provided the first-ever virtual test drive experience of the Sonata N Line in the automotive industry in a virtual space with ZEPETO in June last year. Since September, it has been operating the future mobility virtual experience space 'Hyundai Mobility Adventure' on the global metaverse platform Roblox, steadily communicating to approach the MZ generation in a familiar way.
