Yuhan-Kimberly Donates 700,000 Sanitary Pads on March 28 to Commemorate World Menstruation Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Min-jae] Yuhan-Kimberly's feminine care brand, Joheun Neukkim, announced that it donated 700,000 sanitary pads to organizations including the Korea Women's Foundation in collaboration with Naver Happy Bean to mark Menstruation Day (May 28).
The donation was made through Yuhan-Kimberly's '2022 Cheer Up, Daughters Live' campaign. The recipients are women in their 20s preparing for independence after leaving protective facilities or group homes, teenagers in difficult environments, and organizations selected through the Happy Bean public project. The 700,000 pads are enough for about 5,600 women to use for six months.
Previously, Yuhan-Kimberly started donating 1.53 million pads in 2016 through the 'Cheer Up, Daughters' campaign and has donated over 1 million pads annually since then. By this year, a total of more than 8.5 million pads will have been delivered to those in need.
