Early Voting Rate at 3 PM Reaches 17.38%... Jeonnam Highest at 27.2%, Daegu Lowest at 12.38%

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] As of 3 PM on the second day of early voting for the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections on the 28th, the voter turnout rate was recorded at 17.38%.
According to the National Election Commission, out of a total of 44,303,449 eligible voters as of 3 PM, 7,698,612 had cast their votes. Voting began simultaneously at polling stations nationwide at 6 AM that day.
The region with the highest current turnout rate is Jeonnam (27.2%). It was followed by Gangwon (21.8%), Jeonbuk (21.16%), Gyeongbuk (20.14%), and Gyeongnam (18.33%).
The lowest turnout was recorded in Daegu at 12.38%. Next were Gwangju (14.48%), Busan (15.77%), Gyeonggi (15.88%), and Ulsan (16.37%).
