On the 27th, the association held a press conference at the Mokpo branch of the Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office, claiming that the woman who reported the sexual harassment requested a confrontation interrogation and a lie detector test during the police investigation process, but candidate Park refused citing health reasons.
The association explained, "The victim has filed an objection to the police's decision of no charges on the 5th," and added, "The prosecution plans to reinvestigate the case."
They also demanded an end to secondary victimization against the victim, stating, "Candidate Park has labeled the victim's accusation as false information stemming from political manipulation and is spreading insulting rumors and comments about the woman."
