Hanyang University Hospital Achieves Top Grade Twice in a Row in 'Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Evaluation'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] Hanyang University Hospital announced on the 27th that it received a first-grade rating for the second consecutive time in the 'Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Appropriateness Evaluation.'
Hanyang University Hospital received a first-grade rating with a score of 99.75, which is higher than the overall average of 91.42 and the category average of 93.46 in the recent evaluation conducted by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
This neonatal intensive care unit appropriateness evaluation was conducted on 84 medical institutions nationwide, including general hospitals or higher, where neonatal intensive care unit inpatient treatment occurred from October 2020 to March 2021. The evaluation criteria included a total of 11 assessment indicators and 3 monitoring indicators covering specialized personnel, facilities, equipment, improvement of treatment environment, and prevention of healthcare-associated infections in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Hanyang University Hospital received perfect scores in 7 items, the same as in the first evaluation, including ▲the rate of specialized equipment and facility availability ▲the rate of infection control protocol availability ▲the implementation rate of severity assessment ▲the operation rate of the intensive nutrition therapy team ▲the completion rate of neonatal resuscitation training.
