[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A man in his 40s who harbored resentment over his arrest and came wielding an iron pipe to cause a disturbance at a police substation was apprehended by the police.
Seodaemun Police Station in Seoul announced on the 26th that at around 2:55 a.m., they arrested Mr. A, a man in his 40s, at a substation in Seodaemun-gu on the spot and are currently investigating him.
Mr. A is suspected of coming to the substation at around 2:52 a.m. on the same day carrying an iron pipe, assaulting police officers, and breaking the entrance door.
It is known that Mr. A committed this crime out of resentment over his recent arrest for obstructing official duties.

The police subdued the man at the scene by firing a Taser gun. A police official stated, “This is a matter currently under investigation.”
