Visited Company No. 1 in Mongtan Specialized Agricultural and Industrial Complex to Urge Employment Expansion
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-ju] Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do, held an on-site briefing session on the 24th at Mongtan Specialized Agricultural and Industrial Complex to discuss measures to revitalize sales and to inspect the construction status of tenant companies.
The Mongtan Specialized Agricultural and Industrial Complex, completed last year, is a specialized complex of 89,000㎡ where only food and beverage manufacturing industries can move in, and currently 20% of the area has been sold.
At the on-site briefing, participants focused on discussing ways to increase the sales rate. They visited the first tenant company of the Mongtan Specialized Agricultural and Industrial Complex, which started construction in December last year, checked the progress of the construction work, inspected the internal manufacturing facilities, and prepared measures to clean up the surrounding environment following the completion scheduled for the end of May.
Going forward, the county plans to select target companies from 300 food companies in the Jeonnam region for focused attraction, and will carefully review new industry directions such as home meal replacements and freeze-dried foods, which have recently gained popularity, to enable companies to move into the agricultural and industrial complex.
Seo Inam, Acting Governor of Muan-gun, who received the on-site report, requested the representative of the first tenant company to hire more local residents, and urged county officials to carry out sales tasks thoroughly to complete the sales of the Mongtan Specialized Agricultural and Industrial Complex as soon as possible, contributing to job creation and revitalization of the local economy.
