[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man in his 20s who was arrested for stalking his ex-girlfriend and released on bail was re-arrested after attempting to stalk her again.
Seoul Gwanak Police Station announced on the 25th that they had arrested Lee (24) on charges of violating the Stalking Punishment Act.
According to the police, Lee is accused of stalking by going to the home of his ex-girlfriend A in Gwanak-gu at around 5:05 p.m. on the 20th, kicking the door, ringing the doorbell, and demanding that she come outside.
After receiving a report from the victim A, the police arrived at the scene and, based on A’s statement, searched the nearby area and found Lee hiding behind a parking lot pillar, arresting him on the spot.
Police investigations revealed that Lee had previously been arrested for stalking A but was released on bail.
The police applied for an arrest warrant for Lee on the 21st, and the court issued the warrant on the 23rd.
