Kia Employees and Executives Volunteer Campaign for Two Weeks
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Kia employees have designated a two-week period around the company’s anniversary on the 25th as a volunteer week to carry out volunteer activity campaigns. This event has been held annually since 2015, and this year they introduced participatory programs reflecting eco-friendliness and mobility. These include a walking donation campaign where donations are accumulated based on the number of steps taken, a plogging event, and the donation of 3,500 saplings to create an ecological environment near the workplace. Last year, on the company’s anniversary, the funds raised from the walking donation campaign were used to donate mobility aids to low-income people with physical disabilities.
