Medicox Signs Joint Business Agreement for Blister Packaging with BlissPack
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Medicox announced on the 22nd that it has signed a joint business agreement with Blispec, a blister packaging and manufacturing company. The strategy is to diversify sales through blister packaging business specialized in diagnostic reagents and cosmetics.
Medicox, which signed the joint business agreement with Blispec, will acquire blister packaging production facilities and manufacture products. Blispec is responsible for packaging COVID-19 diagnostic kit products produced by the world's second-largest global diagnostic reagent company.
Blister packaging is a method where the front part of the product is formed with a plastic sheet, the contents are filled into the formed part, and then sealed by covering it with a film. Since the contents or products are embedded in the strong formed packaging part, it has excellent effects in protecting the product and preventing deterioration. It is also evaluated to have excellent price competitiveness as there is no increase in cost compared to existing plastic packaging.
A Medicox official explained, "For pharmaceuticals and medical products where the blister packaging method can be applied, product stability can be secured and consumer convenience can be enhanced." He added, "Blister packaging with high moisture barrier properties can extend the product distribution period," and "We have secured the supply rights for products manufactured and produced by Blispec."
