According to the maintenance industry on the 21st, Suwon Samsung Taeyoung Apartment received a grade C in the first phase of the remodeling safety inspection on the 19th. Unlike reconstruction, remodeling projects require a high safety inspection grade to proceed. If the grade is C or higher, horizontal annex remodeling is possible, while vertical extension requires a grade B or higher.
Built in 1997, this apartment complex consists of 12 buildings with up to 18 floors above ground, totaling 832 households. It is a mid-rise complex composed of small to medium-sized units of 84㎡ (exclusive area). It is a station-area complex located within 500 meters of Mangpo Station and Yeongtong Station on the Suin-Bundang subway line.
POSCO Construction has been selected as the contractor. The number of households will increase from the existing 832 to 956, of which 124 units will be sold to the general public. The unit size will be 125.6㎡. The association plans to accelerate the project aiming for the next steps of safety inspection, urban planning review, and architectural review.
Other complexes in the area are also speeding up remodeling. Currently, the only places in Suwon that have passed the safety inspection are Shinseong Sinan Ssangyong Jinhung and Samsung Taeyoung, with a total of eight remodeling housing projects underway.
