The city, after in-depth discussions with the Araetjang Prosperity Association regarding the reopening of the night market in accordance with the eased quarantine guidelines, decided to reopen while strictly adhering to the prevention measures.
The Araetjang Night Market is held every Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. at the Araetjang Covered Market.
Preparations for reopening, including food booths and stage arrangements, have been completed, and various performance programs will be offered to visitors.
Cheon Se-du, president of the Araetjang Prosperity Association, said, “We will revitalize the traditional market, which had been subdued due to COVID-19, through the Araetjang Night Market,” adding, “We hope visitors come to the Araetjang Night Market, full of sights and food, and create happy memories.”
