A Wave of Colorful Flowers Including Yellow Iris, Iris, Peony, and Cornflower
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] A variety of colorful flowers are in full bloom at Geochang Changpowon, Gyeongnam's first local garden, attracting many visitors.
More than 10 million flowers of various kinds such as yellow iris, iris, peony, cornflower, poppy, peony tree, and Shasta daisy are blooming, allowing visitors to capture them in their photos while taking a walk.
Also, until the 22nd, the 3rd Arimaa Flower Festival is being held under the theme "Standing on Geochang's Future Flower Road." It offers various attractions and activities including viewing flower sculptures in the theme hall, hands-on experiences, performances, and flower tea tasting.
Geochang Changpowon starts with cherry blossoms and tulips in mid-April, and in May, over one million irises create a spectacular scene blending with the wetlands. In summer, lotus flowers bloom; in autumn, chrysanthemums and cosmos; and in winter, clusters of silver grass along the riverbank change the garden's appearance with each season.
