"Hit a Child Taking a Nap to Wake Them Up" ... Daycare Teacher's Continuous Abuse of a 4-Year-Old for 2 Months
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] A daycare teacher in Busan is under investigation after a report was made that she abused a 4-year-old child by hitting or pinching and pushing the child under the pretext of discipline while the child was sleeping.
On the 19th, the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency received a report that daycare teacher A in Busanjin-gu abused children.
Teacher A is accused of abusing three 4-year-old children dozens of times between December last year and January this year, violating the Child Welfare Act.
Reviewing the daycare CCTV footage revealed evidence of abuse approximately 10 times, 20 times, and 40 times for each of the three children.
The CCTV showed teacher A hitting a child who was taking a nap to wake them up, pressing the child's head forcefully, and pinching the child's stomach under the pretext of discipline.
The daycare CCTV footage is deleted every two months, so earlier videos cannot be reviewed.
The daycare center stated, "We were unaware of the situation until the police investigation," and added, "We will respond appropriately according to the investigation results."
