Jin Seong-jun of the Democratic Party of Korea and Song Eon-seok, the senior deputy floor leader of the People Power Party, announced that they had agreed on the plenary session schedule for the vote on the confirmation of nominee Han on the afternoon of the same day.
The vote will take place 47 days after President Yoon Seok-yeol, then president-elect, nominated Han on the 3rd of last month. The appointment consent bill must be passed by a 'majority of the total members present and a majority in favor' through a plenary vote in the National Assembly for the president to appoint him.
