Jeju Fire Station Conducts 'Fire Safety Education' for Multi-Use Facilities
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Fire Station (Chief Go Jae-woo) announced on the 17th that it will conduct fire safety education for business owners and related personnel of multi-use facilities in the jurisdiction at the 3rd-floor conference room of the Ido 119 Center of Jeju Fire Station on the 23rd.
The main contents of the education will include ▲ Introduction to fire safety-related laws and systems ▲ Initial response and evacuation procedures in case of fire ▲ Maintenance and usage methods of fire-fighting and fire prevention facilities ▲ Emergency treatment (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training according to situations.
According to Article 8 of the "Special Act on Safety Management of Multi-use Facilities," business owners and employees of multi-use facilities must receive re-education within two years from the last day of the month in which they receive new or previous refresher training.
If the education is not completed, a fine of up to 3 million KRW will be imposed.
If attending group education is difficult, one can register as a member on the Korea Fire Safety Institute website and select the corresponding cyber education to take the course.
Chief Go Jae-woo said, "Multi-use facilities are places used by an unspecified large number of people, so fire prevention is most important," and added, "I hope that with the interest of related personnel, continuous education and fire facility inspections will be carried out to do their best in fire safety management."
