On the 16th, Jeju Beer held the 'Jeju Beer Brewing Day' at the Glad Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul, and unveiled its new product, 'Jeju Lager Project 001.' This is the first time Jeju Beer, whose product lineup has been mainly composed of ale beers, has launched a lager product. They plan to release more than two additional new lager products in the future.
Kim Bae-jin, Chief Production Officer (CPO) of Jeju Beer, stated, "We will create a fresh crack in the lager beer market, where only products made by large corporations are continuously consumed," expressing confidence by saying, "We have sufficient competitiveness."
Jeju Beer also plans to continue efforts to make beer a cultural platform. This includes products like 'Our Ale,' launched recently in collaboration with the hip-hop label 'AOMG,' and 'MacBTI,' which applies personality type tests to beer. They have also decided to pursue joint projects with CJ CheilJedang.
They plan to release differentiated product lines such as experimental products using small-scale brewing equipment, sparkling ales targeting wine consumers, oak barrel-aged beers, and non-alcoholic beers.
Jeju Beer will actively pursue global expansion starting in 2024. Since 2019, they have entered overseas markets including Southeast Asia, China, Japan, and Australia, and are also exporting throughout Europe.
