Jangseong-gun Urges to Hurry Up with Real Estate Special Measures Act Applications
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 16th that the "Special Measures Act on Real Estate Ownership Transfer Registration, etc. (hereinafter referred to as the Special Measures Act)," which has been temporarily implemented for two years since August 2020, will end on August 4.
The Special Measures Act is a law that allows real estate without ownership preservation registration or whose registry entries do not match the actual owner to be registered through a simplified procedure.
The applicable targets are real estate that was effectively transferred by sale, gift, exchange, inheritance, etc. before June 30, 1995, and unregistered real estate.
However, real estate involved in ownership lawsuits is excluded.
Citizens wishing to transfer ownership must apply for the issuance of a confirmation letter at the Civil Service Department of the county office, attaching a guarantee letter signed by five or more guarantors (including one judicial scrivener) appointed by the heads of each eup and myeon.
The county will issue the confirmation letter after on-site investigation and public notice if there are no objections from interested parties, and the applicant can apply for the transfer registration at the competent registry office by attaching the confirmation letter.
A county official said, "As the implementation period of the Special Measures Act on Real Estate is running out, we ask for the interest of citizens to protect their valuable property rights."
Meanwhile, out of 1,755 parcels for which confirmation letter issuance applications have been submitted so far, 1,537 parcels have been completed.
