According to the legal community on the 15th, the ruling and opposition negotiation groups selected lawyer Ahn Mi-young (55, Judicial Research and Training Institute class 25) from Dongin Law Firm, a former prosecutor, and lawyer Lee In-ram (65) from Changjo Law Firm, a former military judge, as the final candidates from among the special prosecutor candidates recommended by the Korean Bar Association and the Court Administration Office, and recommended them to the President. President Yoon Suk-yeol will choose one of them as the final special prosecutor. The special prosecutor plans to investigate sexual violence and secondary victimization within the Air Force related to Sergeant Lee's death, as well as allegations of concealment, cover-up, and coercion by the Ministry of National Defense and the Air Force Headquarters.
