The wildfire is estimated by the forestry authorities to have started on the slopes of Gwiimbong Peak in Suraksan Mountain, resulting in the loss of 0.02 hectares (ha) of forest. The authorities plan to investigate the cause of the wildfire and apprehend the perpetrator in accordance with Article 42 of the Forest Protection Act.
