KOSPI Recovers to 2600 Level Driven by Institutional and Foreign Dual Buying
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The KOSPI, which started to rise after 9 trading days, recovered the 2600 level during the session thanks to the combined buying spree of institutions and foreigners.
As of 2:26 PM on the 13th, the KOSPI index stood at 2600.11, up 50.03 points (1.96%) compared to the previous day.
The KOSPI index opened at 2570.01, up 19.93 points (0.78%) from the previous day, and widened its gains as buying from institutions and foreigners continued. Institutions and foreigners net bought approximately 668.5 billion KRW and 27.3 billion KRW, respectively. Individuals turned to selling after 9 trading days, net selling about 681.5 billion KRW.

At the same time, the KOSDAQ index recorded 852.11, up 18.45 points (2.21%) from the previous day. Institutions and foreigners net bought about 112.4 billion KRW and 108 billion KRW, respectively, while individuals net sold approximately 215.8 billion KRW.
