On the 13th, the Seongdong Police Station in Seoul announced that the spouse of the Terraform Labs CEO applied for protection against an unidentified individual, Mr. A. Crime victims can request police protection when there is a risk of harm or threat to their life or body.
According to the police, a report was received that an unidentified person broke into an apartment in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu at around 6:23 PM the previous day, rang the doorbell, and fled. Mr. A is said to have arrived at the victim’s residence after entering the apartment building’s main entrance around 6 PM the previous day.
Mr. A reportedly knocked on the door, rang the doorbell, asked the victim, Ms. B, "Is your husband home?" and then fled. Ms. B requested protection and has currently been designated as a protection target.
The reporter stated that after the cryptocurrency business co-led by Ms. B’s husband recently faltered, the location of their home was exposed to unspecified investors.
Luna, which had gained attention as a Korean cryptocurrency, and its sister stablecoin TerraUSD (UST) shocked the global market and investors by crashing 99% within a week.
